Localizado en Cieza en un lugar privilegiado, el “Edificio de la Encomienda” representa un ejemplo de arquitectura civil (s. XVI – s. XIX), entre medianeras y con formación de patio abierto a fachada. El edificio en la actualidad está dividido en dos viviendas, comparte medianera a la derecha con la Ermita de San Bartolomé y a la izquierda con la vivienda particular.  La singularidad del emplazamiento reside en su fachada-patio que se abre al denominado “Balcón del Muro”. Este espacio-mirador posibilita la vista al paisaje de la Vega del río Segura que lo bordea.

Located in a privilaged area of Cieza, the “Building of the Encomienda” represents an example of civil architecture (s. XVI – s. XIX), situated between existing buildings and with the patio open to the facade. Currently the building is divided into two houses, sharing walls with the Chapel of San San Bartolomé on the right and a single family house on the left. The sigularity of the site is seen in patio-facade with opens to the “Balcón del Muro”. This space-viewpoint allows for views of the landscape of the Vega del río Segura.
